“Using simple abstractions such as the dashed line and the kinds of visual language that we have previously proposed for RFID allow us to quickly communicate aspects such as the spatial properties of wireless technologies that are often overlooked. I’ve been using these images in presentations for a while, to sensitise designers and students to the spatial and embodied properties of RFID, Bluetooth and WIFI.”
A project by Timo Arnall.
“The premise of this short film is to represent the digital tools and interfaces we use daily in an analog way. In the analog office, your computer desktop becomes your actual desk, your inbox gets flooded with Spam cans, the server runs past you multiple times a day (and perhaps crashes every now and then), and Twitter users follow each other around the space. This concept is essentially just for fun but also reminds us just how digitally connected we all are.”

‘PEEPSHOW’
we are now all living in a peepshow. Continually being watched by mechanical peeping toms on every street corner.
“With this in mind, I wondered if it was possible to literally make a CCTV camera sexy using simple mechanics…and by using the imagery of a pole dancer question the roles played in voyerism. Could this pile of old windscreen wipers and odd pieces of metal become something sexual…. “
